Sevilla defender Diego Carlos is on the radar of Liverpool and Manchester United, reports Fichajes.net.
The 28-year-old has been a regular figure in his side’s starting lineup since joining the Spanish club from Nantes in 2019.
Julen Lopetegui’s side host Deportivo Alavés in the last tie of the season and it could be the centre-back’s final appearance for Sevilla. That’s because the Premier League sides have knocked on the club’s door for the Brazilian.
It’s explained the Merseyside club are ‘willing to put good amount of money on the table’ for the former Nantes man.
‘Old Liverpool interest,’ states the website, and adds the Reds tried to take the South American in the winter market, when they were desperately in search of a new centre-back.
Sevilla were against the idea of Carlos leaving midway through the campaign, and ‘postponed a possible negotiation’ until the end of this season.
As per the report, Carlos could leave the La Liga side and make a switch to Anfield this summer, and in the process ‘become one of the star signings’ for next season.
Although Fichajes.net state Jürgen Klopp’s side are willing to ‘put good amount of money’ down for Carlos, they don’t specify any figures in their report.
