Moussa Wague is signing for Barcelona, reports Catalan newspaper Sport on Thursday.
They don’t present it as a rumour, it’s pushed as a sure thing, and Sport even claim the player arrived at Barca facilities for a medical on Thursday morning.
The Senegalese right back will sign for the club ‘in the next few hours’.
Once the medical is done, trusting everything will work out fine with that, Barcelona can then announce the signing of the player from Eupen.
Wague will initially play for the Barcelona B side but will train with the first team.
The longer term plan is that he can provide competition to Nelson Semedo and therefore allow Sergi Roberto to concentrate more on a midfield role.
The move would cap a brilliant summer for the 19 year old. After a good season in Belgium with Eupen he went to the World Cup with Senegal, and even managed to score a goal against Japan.
This one has largely come from nowhere.
