Rangers manager Philippe Clement wants to bring more new players to Ibrox before the transfer window closes later today.
According to 1908.nl, Rangers are set to complete the signing of Feyenoord’s Neraysho Kasanwirjo.
The right-back spent last season on loan at Austrian side SK Rapid Wien. He has made two appearances for the Eredivisie side this season, but his immediate future will be at Rangers.
Philippe Clement’s side are the concrete choice for the 22-year-old. The website claims Rangers have already found an agreement with the Dutch club to sign the defender on a loan deal with an option to buy.
The report adds the Dutchman is ‘on his way to Glasgow by plane’ to carry out medical tests and sign the contract with Rangers. The defender will soon ‘make a switch’ to Ibrox.
Kasanwirjo, who can also operate as a centre-back and a left-back, has a contract at the Dutch club lasting until 2027. 1908.nl makes no mention of the fee needed for Rangers to make his stay permanent at the end of this season.
His versatility should provide Philippe Clement more options when selecting his backline this season.
1908.nl took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to add that Kasanwirjo has already ‘landed’ in Glasgow to ‘complete his transfer’ to Rangers.
