Sorry in advance for the capital letters, but 42 days. FOURTY-TWO DAYS.
That’s how long it’s taken Marseille and Tottenham to finally get off their backsides and allow Clinton N’Jié to get his move back to France after an agreement between the two clubs was reached.
According to La Provence, the young Cameroon winger will finally be a Marseille player by the end of the day, having arrived in the south of France, with a medical not necessary on Wednesday considering he already passed it on the 23rd of July.
The 24-year-old is expected to arrive on a loan with a compulsory buy out clause of €7m.
N’Jié was reported as being undecided whether Marseille, with the big dark cloud of a takeover looming over them, was the right choice for him, but with news arriving on Monday that the ownership would change by the end of the year, a decision was made.
Surely, seeing as the two deals are somewhat linked even though not directly, this means we can expect Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to Tottenham to be announced soon as well?
