Manchester United are among the clubs keeping tabs on AS Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who state the midfielder has aroused interest from the Red Devils, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus. These three clubs have been observing him in action for the Ligue 1 side.
Juve have travelled to watch the 24-year-old while Manchester United and PSG have also been monitoring him.
Erik ten Hag’s side had looked at the France international towards the end of the summer window. It’s claimed Manchester United had made an offer of a loan deal with an option to buy, but this didn’t please the principality club.
Fofana has a deal lasting until 2025 and RMC Sport make no mention if any of the three clubs have plans to make an offer or pay the fee needed to convince Monaco to sanction his sale.
The player has been a regular in Monaco’s midfield since he joined them from RC Strasbourg in 2020. His displays helped him make his debut for France in September 2022, but he’s had to settle for a substitute’s role under Didier Deschamps so far.
In the absence of Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga, Fofana will be hoping to get minutes against Gibraltar and Greece this month.
