Inter Milan have been working to tie down Lautaro Martínez’s future by offering him a new contract.
On April 6th, we covered claims from Sport that Chelsea are ready to offer the striker a deal worth €10m net per season, which is double what the Serie A side are ready to offer him.
The Argentine has been on the radar of Frank Lampard’s side, who it’s thought will be in the market looking to strengthen their strike force for the next season.
According to FcInterNews, there has been no offer from the Blues for the 22-year-old and there’s belief the west London club lack the financial muscle to meet his €111m release clause.
Martínez is also discussed in Monday’s edition of Sport, as Barcelona are keen on the frontman.
The Premier League side get a mention and the report claims the player’s environment has been ‘approached by Chelsea’ for a transfer.
The Serie A star, however, has ‘ruled out’ making a switch to Stamford Bridge.
Although Sport talks about Lampard’s side, the newspaper doesn’t provide an explanation for why Martínez has rejected the possibility of joining Chelsea.
