Manchester United have strengthened their attack by signing Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley in the winter market.

The Netherlands international’s arrival didn’t stop reports suggesting the Red Devils could bring in another attacker before the window closes on Tuesday.

Reports in the English press have stated that Manchester United are looking to add Real Betis’ Borja Iglesias to their squad for the second half of this season. Their idea is to take the 30-year-old on a loan deal with a purchase obligation set at €35m.

After these claims surfaced, Estadio Deportivo got in touch with the player’s camp and the La Liga side for an update.

Sources close to both parties have said ‘there is no movement’ amid claims of interest from Erik ten Hag’s side in the Spaniard. ED stress Iglesias will continue at Real Betis, at least until the end of this season.

The striker has scored nine goals and registered four assists in all competitions this season. Only one of those goals was scored after October and that came in his side’s 1-0 win over Getafe at the weekend.
