The roller-coaster of Patrice Evra to Crystal Palace continues in the European media on Saturday.
On Friday Turin newspaper Tuttosport had sounded very positive about Evra to Crystal Palace, saying the defender has shed many of his doubts about the move and could be on the verge of signing for Sam Allardyce.
Gazzetta dello Sport didn’t agree with that, they claimed Evra had decided to stay at Juventus but just hadn’t got around to telling the club about that.
From France comes some more optimism, as well as some competition. French newspaper L’Equipe believe Lyon could be set to offer Evra a route back to France after a decade out of the country.
Lyon may well be a more attractive proposition than Crystal Palace, but L’Equipe say Evra is in ‘very advanced discussions’ to join the Premier League club.
L’Equipe believe that if Lyon are serious they’ll have to act quickly if they want to beat Crystal Palace.
