VfB Stuttgart defender Borna Sosa has revealed he would love to link up with Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic in the Premier League.

Sosa has regularly been linked with a move to England over the last few years after impressing for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga following a €6.6m move from Dinamo Zagreb in 2018.

He has posted good numbers again this season, with six assists in 14 games in the league so far and three assists in one game in DFB Pokal.

The left-back also managed to impress at the World Cup where he was a starter for Croatia in all but two of their games, missing the clash with Japan with a fever and sitting out the third place play off against Morocco.

Those performances have not gone unnoticed and it’s likely his name will be associated with a transfer again once the summer transfer window rolls around.

One man who has already made such a switch from Stuttgart to England is former teammate Kalajdzic, who joined Wolves in an €18m deal in August last year.

He’s had a rough time of things at Molineux since then but Sosa says he would be open to reuniting with him at Wolves, or somewhere else in the Premier League.

“Like many players, I dream of playing in the Premier League one day,” he told BILD.

“It’s the strongest league in the world. There are not only the big six top clubs, but the other teams are also strong. And if I could play with Sasa in a team there, then all the better.

“Every player sets goals in his career and I want to play for a team that is represented in Europe. But the move to Leverkusen didn’t work out and that’s the end of the matter.

“I feel very comfortable at VfB, I’ve been here for almost five years now. I want to help achieve our goals. The fact that I stayed in Stuttgart is not a problem for me.”
