With Sporting having a couple of midfielders leaving the club and others injured, they will definitely have to go for new signings in January.

Francisco Geraldes and Stephan Eustáquio are already on their way, and according to A Bola, the Lions still want a third name: Adrien Silva from Leicester City.

The Lisbon side won’t give up on bringing their former captain back to the club, and count on his wish to make his comeback possible.

A Bola doesn’t bring many details this time. All they say is that Sporting would have to find a deal with Leicester, and in salary terms, Adrien would be ready to take a pay cut to make things easier.

Adrien made his debut for the Foxes in January this year following his €25m move from Sporting.

But the midfielder has been struggling to find a place in the team, having made only 21 appearances for the club so far, with only five this season.
