Last weekend, reports from the English media have claimed that Liverpool should go after Maximiliano Gomez from Celta de Vigo.

The signing would be a suggestion from Luís Suarez, who thinks his compatriot is a ‘real deal’ and could help his former club.

The Spanish media has been covering this story since then, and if we take what Mundo Deportivo is writing today, a deal for the Uruguayan striker is pretty possible.

Regarding’s Celta’s point of view, the outlet claims that the club ‘would make cash’ with the sale as they wait and see if they can avoid relegation this season.

About the player, Mundo Deportivo writes that he would move to Liverpool ‘with his eyes shut’, since the transfer would mean a step forward in his career.

So things look fine in Spain for this move to happen, but of course we now wait and see if Liverpool’s interest is real indeed.
