Patrice Evra has been linked with a return to Manchester United by certain sections of the media.
The 35-year-old was left out of the squad against Bologna, and Juventus’ Giuseppe Marotta confirmed it was because he’s thinking about his future.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Evra will inform Juventus about his decision within a week, and was left out of the squad to make an important decision.
Gazzetta say the Frenchman could go to Manchester United or Valencia, but that remains to be seen.
Earlier, it was reported Juventus might want to keep Evra at the club at least until the end of the season, but Juventus now feel Asamoah Kwadwo could slot in for Evra.
Evra hasn’t been playing as regularly as he has in the past for Juventus, with him managing just over 800 minutes of football. He has another six months left in his contract, but there could be an option to extend it for another year.
An Evra return to Manchester United would be the heart and not the head speaking, and Jose Mourinho probably wouldn’t be up for such sentimental stuff, unless he’s keen to further shows he ‘gets’ the club.
