The fact that Yacine Brahimi’s contract is due to expire in the summer has set a couple of tongues wagging in the Premier League, and it’s the same trio that keeps popping up.

Earlier in February, the Portuguese press stated that Everton, Newcastle and West Ham were all interested in the Porto forward, as a free transfer for a player of his quality is hard to pass up on.

Some time has passed since then, and things could have changed, but they haven’t.

In an article looking at what Brahimi’s future could hold, L’Expression in Algeria believe the Toffees, the Magpies and the Hammers are, ‘to this day’, ‘still interested’ in the 29-year-old.

With a lot of money to offer, the Premier League triumvirate will be able to give the player the final big contract he will probably be looking for, as well as an opportunity to test himself in a better league.

We’ll have to see if anything does come from any of this, as this has been a recurring story over the years, with Brahimi always staying despite a lot of interest.

This time, however, if he doesn’t renew, he’ll be a free agent, so the next few months is as close as we’re ever going to get to this finally being over once and for all.
