Premier League and Bundesliga interest in Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha is driving up his price ahead of the summer.
That’s according to Het Laatste Nieuws, who say that is proving to be ‘detrimental’ for Anderlecht’s hopes of keeping him.
The Manchester City striker has been on loan with the Belgian side since the summer and impressed massively, with 14 goals and three assists to his name in 31 games in the Jupiler League so far.
Anderlecht are keen to keep him beyond the summer, and numerous reports over the last few weeks have indicated they will do everything they can to make it happen.
That could be difficult, though, with interest in the Premier League and Bundesliga ramping up his price, according to HLN.
They carry quotes from his ‘entourage’, who, while refusing to name names, have confirmed ‘interest is growing’ as ‘these are wealthy clubs from the German Bundesliga and the English Premier League. It is logical that Lukas charms many teams’.
This is backed up by Le Soir, who say the striker ‘attracts the eyes of other big clubs’ and ‘stirs up lusts’ with his goals.
According to their information, several Bundesliga and Premier League clubs have ‘ticked his name and taken their information’ on the striker, whom they claim Manchester City are ‘determined to sell’ this summer.
This is all bad news for Anderlecht, who were already struggling to match his current value of €8-10m.
Indeed, they may not be able or unwilling to go higher, with it felt Manchester City want to get more than €10m for their man if they can find someone willing to pay it.
