Kalidou Koulibaly has been linked with a move back to the Premier League and the club that could bring him to England is said to be Newcastle United.
TVPlay, part of the Gazzetta dello Sport group, have reported about the Magpies’ interest in the veteran centre-back, revealing that PIF are ‘thinking about’ signing the Senegal international in the summer transfer window.
As of now, Al Hilal want a fee of only €8m and report is confident that Newcastle United are ready to put that amount on the table.
Koulibaly, who is 33-years-of-age, is keen to push himself further and is interested in a move back to the Premier League. The report refutes talk of interest from Juventus and Inter, suggesting that the costs of the transfer will be too much for Italian sides.
The ex-Napoli hero believes that the Saudi Pro League is not allowing him the best possible platform to become a better player and returning to Europe can definitely help him achieve that objective.
This makes Newcastle United’s interest intriguing due to the Saudi links between Al-Hilal and the Magpies.
