Simone Zaza isn’t the only West Ham striker who Valencia are keeping an eye on. According to Super Deporte today, the club are also considering the signing of Jonathan Calleri for the future.

The website has an article reporting the interest this morning, and hours later, published another story showing Calleri wearing a Valencia shirt.

They say that Calleri is a ‘big Valencia fan’, all because he had a picture taken years ago, when he was playing football with their jersey.

CapturarIt’s really common for South Americans to wear European clubs jerseys. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a supporter, as you may just like the club or its colours… or the particular shirt may have been on offer.

But Super Deporte now make a big deal out of it, encouraging them to hype Calleri to Valencia more.

As exclusively reported by Sport Witness today, Calleri is trying to cut short his loan spell at West Ham.

The player had Spain as his first choice when he left São Paulo for Europe, so if Super Deporte’s first reports are true, maybe there’s a good chance for the player there.

The player is at West Ham on loan from Maldonado, an Uruguayan club who’ll keep loaning the player until they get a profitable sale.
