Over the past few months, the Valencian press has been talking a lot about Andreas Pereira. Signed on a loan deal from Manchester United until the end of the season, the player arrived in Spain with great expectations, but wasn’t really able to impress so far.
That’s why there’s been some doubt about his stay in Valencia. With José Mourinho confirming that he could bring the player back to Manchester United in January, some of the local outlets even claimed this situation could turn out to be a good deal for the La Liga side, since they would receive compensation for the early departure.
But Andreas doesn’t want that. At least that’s what newspaper AS writes today, as they analyse the Spanish club’s possibilities in the January market.
They claim the midfielder is feeling well at the club, and ‘doesn’t even want to hear’ anything about José Mourinho calling him back to Manchester in the middle of the season.
AS claims that Andreas didn’t even go to Brazil during the Christmas holidays, as he prefered to stay in Spain and visit different cities. People close to him told the paper that “he stays”.
“Se queda” isn’t the most convincing Spanish expression of 2017, but makes quite a bit of sense in this case.
