As Inter Milan are still planning to sign a defender in the last week of the transfer window, Italian newspaper Tuttosport brings a full picture of the club’s situation.
They claim there are two main targets the Serie A side are currently considering, and both would arrive from the Premier League.
The one easier to get is Elaquim Mangala from Manchester City, and Inter would only be waiting for a ‘yes’ from Pep Guardiola so the player can be free to move on a one year loan deal.
However, the one on top of the list would be Shkodran Mustafi. The big problem is that Inter would only want to get him on a two year loan with an obligatory buying option at the end of the spell, something that Arsenal are very unlikely to accept.
Last and least, there is Lisandro Lopez from Benfica, who could be swapped for Gabigol. But Inter considers Mangala and Mustafi players of a higher level, so their efforts in the next week will be really to bring a Premier League player in.
Manchester City’s Mangala is favourite, just waiting that ‘yes’.
