Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Barcelona hasn’t gone down too well with the Spanish media.

Most of them expected Lionel Messi and co to beat the Premier League side, especially after their 4-0 win at the Camp Nou, but Pep Guardiola and his team had other plans.

Manchester City produced a stunning display in the second half to surprise Barcelona, and we can totally expect the Spanish media to continue talking about it in the coming days.

Pep Guardiola’s father Valenti Guardiola has returned to Spain after watching Manchester City’s historic win over Barcelona, and Spanish newspaper Sport cornered him on the flight home.

Valenti was asked how Manchester City managed to beat Barcelona, to which he replied: “The key to the game was Manchester City had everything in control despite Messi’s goal.”

He added: “There wasn’t much difference in both the teams until Claudio Bravo’s error.”

Valenti also revealed he was delighted with Manchester City’s win over Barcelona, and congratulated the Manchester City boss. Guardiola’s father remains a big Barcelona fan, but obviously family comes first and right now that means he’s a Manchester City supporter too.
