Pep Guardiola has put his faith in other options so far this season, but reports in the media suggest the Manchester City boss is already considering bringing someone in.

According to Spanish website Super Deporte, Pep Guardiola has former Valencia defenders Alex Grimaldo, now at Benfica, at Bayern Munich, and Juan Bernat, and current left back Jose Luis Gaya on his wish-list.

Super Deporte say Guardiola is keeping close tabs on these three players, who could make a move to Manchester City in the future. The Spanish newspaper explain how Valencia have developed few good left backs at the club in recent years.

Guardiola also signed Jordi Alba for Barcelona from Valencia in 2012, and it remains to be seen if he again decides to sign any of the mentioned players.

While Gaya and Grimaldo have been playing regularly at their respective clubs, Bernat has been in and out of the team at Bayern Munich due to stronger competition for places.
