Celta de Vigo are reportedly interested in bringing the Manchester City forward Nolito back to the club.
As reported by the Spanish newspaper Marca on Tuesday, Celta’s desire is considered to be a ‘dream’ because it wouldn’t be easy to pull off such a signing.
With only 16 starts this season, the player spent a recent period without even being used by Pep Guardiola, and that’s the reason why he’d be thinking of taking a new path for the future.
But this hasn’t been a nighmare of a debut season for the Spaniard either. Six goals and five assists isn’t a record to be ashamed of, and leaving now would sound a bit like giving up too early.
Maybe Marca are right, and Celta are really dreaming too much. At 30 years of age, it’s unlikely that Manchester City will loan the player out, and the English club certainly won’t let him leave for much less than the €18m paid in the last summer.
As things stand, Celta are said to be ‘pending’ on the player’s decision, and we doubt any decision will be taken by either club or player before the season ends.
