Manchester United’s interest in Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has become a huge deal in the Spanish media. All local outlets have been talking about this pursuit today, with many of them claiming the player is even thinking about the move.
Even though the decision is said to be in the 30-year-old’s hands, it’s also been claimed many times that Real Madrid aren’t keen on the sale. They’re expected to respect his wish, but not easily facilitate the exit of such an important player they had for many years.
As Marca comment on the situation, they chased a Brazilian opinion on the scenario. So they asked TNT Sports’ correspondent in Madrid, Tatiana Mantovani, about the chances of it happening.
“Sell Casemiro? Not for all the money in the world would I sell a player like that. He’s a leader, he’s the present and he’s the future for Real Madrid. He’s still the best defensive midfielder right now and one of the captains of the Brazilian national team. He continues to be essential in Madrid’s schemes,” the journalist told Marca.
On Wednesday, Mantovani had also published a very similar tweet with her opinion, claiming Manchester United are right to make a huge bid for Casemiro, just like Real Madrid would be right in doing everything to keep him.
“Casemiro is the best defensive midfielder in the world, the most regular in the position for years. If I’m Manchester United, I’d pay whatever it takes for him. If I’m Real Madrid, I don’t sell for all the money in the world.”
