Last week, Marca reported Wolves and AC Milan were going head-to-head for Almeria defender Marc Pubill.
The Spanish newspaper reported the right-back’s agent has been trying to find the best possible solution, with Almeria looking at a fee of €15m to sell their player.
Radio Rossonera have provided some optimism to Wolves in this situation and they believe that Vitor Pereira’s side have ‘pushed hard’ to sign Pubill. While Milan are also moving aggressively, the Premier League side have overtaken the Italian giants in the race.
Wolves are said to have found out from from Almeria that a fee of €15m could be enough to land the 22-year-old and the report suggests the Rossoneri could be moving away from the player altogether.
They are awaiting developments in their move for Gela Doue and the stance is changing to Pubill not being their first choice anyway.
Over in Spain, Marca report the first team to offer €15m can take the player. Atalanta offered €20m last year but tried to change the terms at the last minute and the transfer collapsed.
Diario de Almeria report that despite all the claims, no offers have arrived yet.
