The Italian media are increasingly of the opinion that Fabio Paratici to Tottenham is simply a matter of time and should be made official relatively quickly.
This has allowed them to begin naming players the director of football will pursue, and it’s inevitable that the concentration is on Juventus’ squad, which he largely built.
Leonardo Bonucci and Dejan Kulusevski have both been linked with Spurs by multiple Italian sources, with SportMediaSet being the latest, and now, again inevitably, Paulo Dybala has been dragged into the mix.
The Argentine has been repeatedly linked with a Juventus exit in recent years, and therefore he was always going to be pushed towards Tottenham’s agenda.
However, it’s been Paratici trying to sell him, before the director left Juventus, so the connections may be twisted on this idea.
Nevertheless, SportMediaSet, one of Italy’s major broadcasters, report that Paratici is ‘working under the radar’ on Tottenham signings, ahead of his arrival being officially announced.
There’s also a big hint that a manager will come quickly after the Italian, with it said such an appointment will have to be formalised in the ‘coming hours’.
Such a phrase should be taken as ‘soon’ rather than specifically within the next few hours.
