Dejan Kulusevski joined Tottenham Hotspur in January of this year, initially on an 18-month loan from Juventus. There’s a clause to make the move permanent for €35m, and that clause becomes an obligation if certain conditions are met.
The Sweden international has proven to be a success for Spurs, and Antonio Conte is clearly disappointed that the player is currently injured. Before his fitness was hit, the 22-year-old had made seven Premier League appearances so far this season, contributing one goal and three assists.
Tottenham are very much expected to make the move permanent, regardless of an obligation or not, and it’s now reported Fabio Paratici could try a little transfer magic to get a ‘strong discount’ on the €35m.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Valencia, and there was some hope he could stay there and fight for a place in Spain’s World Cup squad.
Those Qatar dreams have since slipped away.
