Tottenham are a potential destination for striker Andrea Belotti should he leave Torino on a free transfer at the end of the season.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say the forward ‘may be tempting’ Tottenham and chiefly their director of football Fabio Paratici.
Belotti is out of contract at the end of the season and so far hasn’t signed a new deal with the Italian side, meaning he is likely to leave on a free at the end of the season.
Indeed, there is the prospect of him arranging a deal in January, as expiring players are free to do, although Tuttosport insist that will not be the case with Belotti, who will wait until the summer to decide his future.
Should he decide to go, there will be plenty of interest, with Tottenham one of several clubs all keen on the Italian.
According to the newspaper, the striker is a ‘tempting prospect’ as he will be available on a free transfer, and that has seen old interest in him return.
Tottenham are one of his long-term fans, who were interested in him years ago but didn’t want to pay the big price that Torino were asking for.
That price won’t be there if he’s a free agent, with Spurs only having to pay Belotti’s wages, which means a transfer is now a ‘very different matter’ to what it once was.
They’ll have to wait until the summer either way, but it seems the interest is there should he decide to leave Italy.
