For the past few weeks, one of the main rumours at Juventus had been about Dejan Kulusevski, who was a big candidate to leave the club in January.
The winger was linked to a few potential destinations, especially Paris Saint Germain and Tottenham Hotspur, whose offers for his signing were still to be made.
Now it turns out that something that happened at the weekend completely changed Juventus’ plans for the transfer window. That’s the knee injury suffered by Frederico Chiesa.
As reported by Calciomercato, the Italian star is now set to sit out the rest of the season, and as an immediate action, the Old Lady decided that they’ll have to keep Kulusevski at the club.
Calciomercato points out that ‘the courtships of Tottenham and PSG never materialised’, and even if they do move for Kulusevski now, only an ‘exorbitant’ offer would convince Juventus of letting him go in January.
So if Spurs were planning on taking their time about bidding for the winger, this isn’t the news they will have wanted.
