Nottingham Forest currently find themselves 20th in the Championship, just 3 points away from the relegation zone. Optimism about a new owner coming in has turned to despair as the interested parties pulled out, and Fawaz Al-Hasawi is now in charge for the foreseeable future.

With Philippe Montanier finally being turfed out at Nottingham Forest, the manager’s seat is vacant and looks to be a job and a half. If it wasn’t for Nottingham Forest’s history and the club’s support then it wouldn’t be an attractive job, but Forest will hope there’s still some associated stardust from former glories.

Red Bull are second in the Austrian league and have a good shot at winning the title. Despite that, Catalan newspaper Sport claim in their ‘confidential’ section that Garcia ‘does not rule out’ taking over at Nottingham Forest.

The Sabadell coach is of course covered routinely by the Catalan media, due to his roots and career with Barcelona. Right now, Garcia is said to be awaiting news on the Nottingham Forest situation, keeping silent and under the orders of Red Bull Salzburg.

There’s no panic in the Austrian press… yet.
