As things stand, West Ham are hanging onto Sofiane Feghouli.
Il Tempo on Monday report the Premier League club are making life very difficult for AS Roma, who already have an agreement with the player, as Slaven Bilic and co. have decided to reject the Serie A side’s first offer for the Algerian international.
Rumoured to be a loan with an optional view to buy, Roma’s offer was turned down partly due to the fact Dimitri Payet’s future at the London Stadium is up in the air, but also because it was someway off what West Ham were asking for: a paid loan.
Roma now have a decision to make, which is whether or not they try and reopen the channels with the Hammers or try and find someone else to fill the gap left by Mohamed Salah, who is currently representing Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The option of Chelsea’s Charly Musonda Jr. appears to be slipping away, meaning it could be back to the drawing board for Luciano Spalletti this transfer window.
