Watford signed Cucho Hernandez from Granada in 2017 and sent him on loan to Huesca the same summer, where he’s scored 20 goals and registered nine assists in the league in the past two seasons.
On July 8th, we relayed news from Spain that Real Betis, Mallorca, Espanyol and Real Valladolid are battling to sign him in the summer window and the 20-year-old would prefer a move to the latter.
Estadio Deportivo claims otherwise as they say the forward is doing his part to play for Betis.
There is no mention of other clubs, but they suggest out of the options available, the one that ‘most thrills’ the Colombian is to play for the Seville based side.
Hernandez is making a lot of effort to make sure he ends up at Betis for the 2019/20 season.
Watford will only negotiate a sale, which would not be affordable for Betis, or send the player on a loan deal without including a purchase option.
Hernandez’s contract at Vicarage Road runs down in 2020 and if the South American decides against signing a new contract with Hornets, he can then leave them as a free agent next year, as long as there’s no extension option.
