Everton still have an opportunity to sign Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx if they want him, as he’s yet to negotiate a deal with anyone.
That’s according to Kicker, who say the opportunity is still there for Everton should they wish to explore it.
A report last night stated that Everton are keeping an eye on the Belgian midfielder, with his entourage currently looking around at the market for opportunities.
That came from journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who made it clear nothing was progressing at this moment in time, but Everton were one of the sides in the mix.
Kicker continue along that front today, explaining that while reports in Italy are claiming Fiorentina have reached an agreement for the midfielder, that is not actually the case.
According to their information Wolfsburg are still waiting for offers to arrive, but all signs are pointing towards a departure this summer either way.
The player’s contract at the German club expires next year so they need a deal now to avoid losing the midfielder on a free transfer.
That seemingly has the vultures circling and Everton are one of them, although neither they nor anyone else has made a firm proposal as yet.
