The agent representing Boavista star Alberth Elis says he believes the ‘opportunities are going to come’ as his client is linked to Watford and Brighton.
Elis has enjoyed a superb campaign in Portugal this season, bagging eight goals and six assists in 28 games in Liga NOS so far.
That has sparked interest in the Premier League, with Brighton and newly promoted Watford said to be eyeing up a move.
A recent report stated that they had asked about a potential transfer this summer, with his ‘great season’ encouraging them to open their chequebooks.
Indeed, they are not the only ones reportedly keen with Bordeaux, Rennes, Nice and even Porto in Portugal all thought to be interested.
Whether a move happens remains to be seen, but his agent has commented on the rumours, hinting that they’d very much be open to a deal.
“Thank God he has had a great performance,” he told La Prensa when asked about the rumours around Brighton and Watford, as well as several other sides in Europe.
“I think the opportunities are going to come, but at the moment, we are both calm.
“We know that he does not shrink from adverse situations. Elis’ goal is clear, to succeed in Europe and in the national team.
“The rumours will always be there; at the moment, Elis is focused on his performance. Later we will know if offers are coming.”
