Fulham’s relegation from the Premier League forced André-Frank Zambo Anguissa to look for a new destination in the summer of 2021.
Towards the end of that window, Napoli took the midfielder on a loan deal with an option to buy. He has impressed for the Serie A side and his fine displays convinced them to retain him beyond this campaign.
The Fulham owned player missed the Naples club’s last tie against Fiorentina due to suspension. Luciano Spalletti’s side suffered a 3-2 defeat and the loss meant they couldn’t climb to the top of the table.
Napoli will take on AS Roma in the next tie and the Cameroon international’s return to the lineup could give them a welcome boost. As said in the past, Corriere dello Sport on Thursday again stress the Cottagers will receive €15m if the buying option is exercised.
The report states the ‘operation is already planned’ as the Serie A side have the funds ready to buy Anguissa in the summer. This will see the Championship side earn €15m in the process.
It’s further explained Napoli plan to pay this fee to Fulham ‘in their own time’, but it will get done.
