Middlesbrough’s Rav van den Berg is expected to move to Feyenoord this summer.

That’s at least what Feyenoord Transfermarkt are reporting, and they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a short update on the Dutch club’s interest in the 21-year-old.

Feyenoord are focusing on the Middlesbrough centre-back to improve their defence for next season and are expecting to get this deal over the line.

To do that, the report claims the Eredivisie side will send an opening bid to Middlesbrough within 12 hours.

Feyenoord Transfermarkt posted it on X late on Sunday, meaning the Championship club should receive the initial offer today.

They make no mention of the fee that Robin van Persie’s side will offer Middlesbrough for the Netherlands U21 international or both his and Boro’s stance on a potential move.

Van den Berg joined Middlesbrough from PEC Zwolle in July 2023 and has a contract until 2027. He played 66 games for the English club of which 27 were from last season.

The defender, who can also operate as a right-back, represented the Netherlands at the U21 European championship this summer.
