Back at the weekend, reports from the Brazilian media claimed Chelsea are one of the clubs in the race for Athletico Paranaense wonderkid Vitor Roque.

It was said the Blues were one of the clubs who made an approach for the 17-year-old, despite the heavy competition for the signing.

It turns out Chelsea’s interest is now backed up by journalist André Hernan, who brings a few more details about his chase.

He claims the Blues are one of the clubs who ‘already called’ to get more information on the player, along with the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain.

The problem is that Athletico Paranaense don’t want to sell the youngster, as they plan to keep him for a couple of more years, and will only let him go in case someone comes up and trigger his €60m release clause.

Chelsea had already been in talks to sign Endrick from Palmeiras and recently won the race for Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama.

That’s a clear sign that Todd Boehly is keen on investing in young talents from Brazil, and Vitor Roque seems to be the next on their list.
