Tottenham Hotspur bolstered their defence by signing Radu Drăgușin from Genoa earlier in the winter market.
The 21-year-old Romanian’s arrival hasn’t stopped the north London club from looking at other centre-backs.
That’s at least what journalist Sacha Tavolieri is reporting and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state Tottenham have set their sights on Eintracht Frankfurt’s Willian Pacho.
The Ecuador international left Royal Antwerp for the Bundesliga side last summer and has established himself this season, making 28 appearances in all competitions. His displays have caught Spurs’ attention and they have a ‘strong interest’ in the defender.
Tavolieri adds the Premier League side have watched the 24-year-old on several occasions this season and also ‘took information’ about Pacho’s profile. The English club may have initiated contact with the player’s entourage, to know more about him.
Ange Postecoglou’s side are looking at the South American for next season. The journalist claims Pacho is the ‘one to watch’ in the summer and that Spurs could face competition from other English clubs to secure his services.
Pacho’s contract lasts until 2028 and Transfermarkt currently value him at €24m.
