We’re now entering peak transfer season, a time which sees fans grasp at anything to give them hope a big target is set to join their club.

At Chelsea, they’ve secured two mega signings already, taking Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig. For some clubs, that would be it for the summer, but Frank Lampard’s side seem determined to bring more in.

Fans are excited, and on Sunday they were given some encouragement by Kai Havertz. The Bayer Leverkusen player ‘liked’ an Instagram post from Werner, which showed the striker touching down in England before heading to Chelsea’s final game of the season.

Bild cover the excitement and when it comes to talking about the chances of an actual transfer, they give more hope. The newspaper states ‘One thing is clear’, and that’s Chelsea qualifying for the Champions League has increased their chances of getting Havertz.

They’ll now have more money, and Bild report ‘it’s possible’ Chelsea and Bayer could agree a deal which would see a €70m initial payment and a further €30m in bonuses.
