It appears that Napoli, should they sell Victor Osimhen in the summer, will target Chelsea’s Armando Broja to replace the Nigerian.

Currently loaned to Southampton for the season, the Albania international has impressed under Ralph Hasenhüttl, scoring nine goals in 36 appearances and picking up on assist in all competitions.

While those statistics aren’t mind blowing, they clearly show there is potential to work with, which was what Napoli are looking for.

Much like Osimhen, they would want to sign the Chelsea forward to then develop him and eventually sell him for a lot more down the line.

Gazzetta dello Sport look at the situation, explaining to their readers that Broja is ‘doing well’ in the Premier League, and is ‘certainly one of the most interesting prospects in Europe’.

Contracted to Chelsea until 2026, he is a player Napoli ‘have been observing for some time’, but they are wary of any competition, with Borussia Dortmund named as a team that could scupper their plans.

Something to think about going forward, but with the number of reports of an interest in the Chelsea loanee, it appears Cristiano Giuntoli is planning something should Osimhen be sold.
