On May 1st, Tuttosport reported Crystal Palace have initiated contact over a potential deal for Juventus’ Filip Kostić in the summer window.

Fast forward to the end of June and TuttoMercatoWeb now claim Crystal Palace like the 31-year-old, and also provide more updates on his future.

The Old Lady signed the wing-back from Eintracht Frankfurt in August 2022 and gave him a deal until 2026.

Oliver Glasner has already managed Kostić at the Bundesliga side, where he used him as left wing-back and a left winger between 2021 and 2023.

The Austrian manager, who likes the player, seems to be leading Crystal Palace’s pursuit to sign the Serbia international this summer.

The report points out the Serie A side had opened the door for him to leave last summer. He had received offers, but none of them matched Juve’s request of €15m.

It’s claimed the Serbian ‘can leave’ the club in this window, and TMW make no mention of his asking price because they aren’t aware of it as of now.

Juve may not be able to ask for €15m again this summer, his value is almost certainly less.
