Oliver Glasner could continue his makeover at Crystal Palace, with coach James Holland being eyed up for his backroom staff.

That’s according to Sky Sport Austria, who say Holland is set to depart Wiener Austria and Glasner may offer him a role at Crystal Palace.

They explain that Holland’s contract with the Violets is set to expire in the summer and it’s already been confirmed by the club that an option to extend that by another year will not be taken up.

His future is therefore up in the air and according to Sky’s information, there is an opportunity for the 34-year-old to join up with Glasner at Crystal Palace.

They report that the idea would be for the midfielder, who is currently working his way back from a muscle injury, to bring an end to his playing career and instead join Crystal Palace’s backroom team.

Holland first moved to Austria in 2012 from AZ Alkmaar and spent three years there before moving to MSV Duisburg.

He then headed to Australia and China before returning to LAS in 2017 for another five-year spell before then joining Austria Vienna in July 2022.

His time in the country saw him working with him at LASK and making 61 appearances under him in two seasons.

They could now be set to renew that relationship at Selhurst Park, with his contract expiring in the summer and the possibility very much on the table.
