Molde forward Erling Braut Håland has spoken to the Norwegian media about reported interest from Manchester United. The 17 year old is the son of former Leeds United and Manchester City midfielder Alf-Inge Håland.

Speaking to Europsort.no, Håland was quizzed about scouts travelling to Norway to watch him: “I’m Molde player, so I have to focus on delivering here. It’s nice they’re in the stands.”

According to reports in Norway, Manchester United yesterday attended the game between Brann and Molde to get a lowdown on the young forward.

Håland scored all fours goals in his side’s victory before being brought off after an hour. However, the youngster will have done enough to catch the eye of the Manchester United official in attendance.

A Norway youth international, Håland signed for Molde last year and has gone on to become a regular in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Solskjaer highly rates the youngster, but believes a move abroad is too soon for the player.

“He will not think about disappearing abroad. He will concentrate on training and then he will do the job against Vålerenga before heading to Finland.”

Håland has scored 6 goals in 13 games this season and will be representing Norway at this months U19s Euros in Finland.
