Beşiktaş President Ahmet Nur Çebi has confirmed there is interest defender Romain Saiss amid reports of Nottingham Forest being keen.
Aksam report that Çebi has been speaking at a recent event for the club’s new shirts for next season, alongside announcing new sponsorships, where he was asked about transfer business.
There is likely to be various incomings and outgoings at the Turkish club this summer as they, like clubs around the world, prepare for next season.
One man who could be departing is Saiss, who earned himself a number of suitors around Europe during the World Cup when he was one of the stars of Morocco’s run in that tournament in Qatar.
He’s been linked with a transfer since then and still has admirers in the Premier League, with it recently reported Nottingham Forest were keen.
Indeed, that report claimed that Forest were expected to make a bid for the player in the coming days as they look to bolster Steve Cooper’s squad this summer.
Cebi did not name Nottingham Forest specifically when asked on the subject but did confirm there are bids, and the player would like Beşiktaş to make an exit a smooth one.
“I told Saiss that we want to continue with him, there are offers,” he said.
“He said, ‘If there are favourable conditions, will you pave the way for me?’. We will see what happens tomorrow.”
