Filip Kostic has been on the exit ramp at Juventus all summer. Thiago Motta doesn’t see a future for him with the Turin club, and the player has been informed he can find a new destination.

The 31-year-old, who can play left-back or further forward, hasn’t been involved at all this season. There is no way he can be given a clearer message that his future should be elsewhere.

Over the summer, Southampton and Crystal Palace were both repeatedly credited with interest in Kostic, the latter especially so given the player has previously worked with Oliver Glasner to great impact.

Il Bianconero now report Southampton and Crystal Palace both made offers for the player. That would likely be offers to Kostic and his camp, as Juventus have been prepared to accept a low fee.

The pair are dismissed as ‘second tier Premier League clubs’, and were apparently rejected along with Spartak Moscow. That’s a bit of a needless blow.

Kostic would have been fortunate with a move to Southampton, whilst a transfer to Crystal Palace would surely have been attractive.

Now he’s the subject of interest from Galatasaray.
