There’s a claim in the Turkish media Fenerbahce have stepped up their pursuit for Manchester City defender Kyle Walker.
There were reports yesterday that the Istanbul side are keen on the England international as they look to sign a right back in this transfer window.
With Bright Osayi-Samuel set to leave when his contract expires at the end of this month, Jose Mourinho wants to bring in Walker to fill the void left by the Nigerian.
Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reports on the latest developments regarding Fenerbahce’s interest in the Manchester City player and he says an official offer has been tabled.
The Turkish journalist hasn’t revealed what this bid is, but with Walker looking surplus to requirements at the Etihad, Manchester City could be tempted.
Yesterday NTV Spor claimed the Super Lig side had made enquiries about Walker and that they want to know what personal terms the player would be looking for. The 35-year-old is reportedly Fenerbahce’s main right back target this summer.
Walker spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan, making 16 appearances in all competitions. He’s contracted to Manchester City until June 2026.
