There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Besiktas are showing interest in Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old will be out of contract with the Premier League side at the end of the season and the Istanbul club are looking to take advantage of the situation.

Sporx today report on Besiktas’ links with the Everton centre forward and they say the Super Lig side are ready to make their move for the player.

Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær is keen to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season and it’s also expected current No.9 Ciro Immobile will return to Italy in the summer.

Subsequently Besiktas have turned their attention to Calvert-Lewin, with claims they are ready to make an official offer to the forward.

However, there have been recent reports in the UK press that Everton are still hopeful in keeping hold of him and are in talks to extend his contract. Calvert-Lewin’s season has again been blighted by injury, but it seems Everton still want him to remain at the club.

He’s made just 22 appearances this season for the Toffees, scoring three goals.
