This week, Burnley announced the permanent signing of Jordan Beyer.
The centre-back, who had been loaned from Borussia Mönchengladbach at the start of the season, had his buying option triggered by the Clarets, who are paying €15m for the purchase.
Today, German outlet Bild bring quotes from Daniel Farke, coach of the Bundesliga side, who talked about Beyer’s transfer to Burnley.
“It was his first time abroad. He has grown in quality as a personality and as a player,” said Farke.
It was just after confirming the Championship title that Burnley announced the deal, with Beyer now signing a four-year contract with the Clarets.
Earlier this week, the German media even claimed that the player still had feelings for Borussia Mönchengladbach, and that’s why he could not accept the permanent move to Turf Moor, but it seems those reports were incorrect.
Beyer made 35 appearances for Burnley this season, becoming an important piece in Vincent Kompany’s scheme, and it’s no surprise the Clarets chose to make that investment in a player who has already proved himself in the team.
Now Burnley have one less concern as they build their squad for the next Premier League season.
