Jurgen Klopp announcing he’d be leaving Liverpool was seen as very bad news for everyone connected to the Anfield club. The German manager had made himself a legend and was going to be an incredibly hard act to follow.
Whilst Arne Slot has started well with the Reds, he still faces very high odds to have to have the same impact as the man who came before him.
Despite that, change will always bring winners. Right now at Liverpool, Ryan Gravenberch is a beneficiary of a different approach in Slot’s team when compared to what he experienced last season.
Gravenberch is currently away with the Netherlands national team and has been speaking to the Dutch media about things going much better him in the current campaign.
SoccerNews quote him as saying: “There were sometimes matches in which I had only touched the ball once after five or six minutes. Then you don’t get into your game. Now I get the ball more, then you get more comfortable.”
The midfielder explained that he feels he gets a lot of ‘clarity’ from Slot, and that’s clearly helping him.
On the widepsread praise the manager has been receiving, especially after Liverpool’s victory over Manchester United, Gravenberch said: “Now it’s going well, so, yes. Everyone is praising him.”
