Nottingham interested in signing 22 year old defender

Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in signing the Italian right-back Luca Bittante.

The 22-year-old, who only signed for Empoli last summer for a fee of around €800k, has an uncertain future, according to the Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Besides Forest, Serie A side Genoa would be also interested in the player, but none of the clubs have an advantage pointed out in Di Marzio’s article.

Genoa are said to be still “thinking”, so none of the clubs seem to have made an approach so far.

Bittante made 16 appearances in Serie A last season. He’s primarily a right-back, but can also play as a left-back and on the wings.

A good young versatile option.
