Monaco left-back Caio Henrique is a potential target for Nottingham Forest and West Ham United as both sides continue to strengthen this summer.

That’s according to UOL, who report the Monaco full-back could be making the move to England this summer thanks to two suitors from the Premier League.

UOL explain that the defender, formerly of Fluminense and GrĂªmio, have ‘attracted interest’ from Nottingham Forest and West Ham.

He’s been the subject of enquiries from both sides in recent weeks. They’re yet to make any offers for him but are simply monitoring the 27-year-old.

Both Nottingham Forest and West Ham face potential frustration if they do push forward, though, with Caio Henrique and his entourage having prioritised staying at Monaco for now.

He wants to bounce back from the injury to his left knee that saw him miss part of last season and continue to develop with the Ligue 1 side rather than move to the Premier League it seems.

Of course, such plans can always change quite quickly when Premier League clubs make a firm approach for a player, so it’s up to the two to decide if they want to.
