Sdna.Gr report Nottingham Forest striker Apostolos Vellios is close to joining Olympiacos.
Oympiacos are looking to make major changes to the squad this summer, with the aim of bringing in more Greek footballers.
The Greek website claims Vellios is unlikely to continue his career at Nottingham Forest, meaning the player now has the chance to sign for Olympiacos.
The 26-year old striker has played just 11 league games for Aitor Karanka’s side this season, scoring one goal. Subsequently Nottingham Forest are looking to offload the forward and a move back to his home country looks to be on the cards.
The 26 year old first arrived in England when he signed for Everton, but after just a couple of games with the Merseyside club he joined Belgian side Lierse.
Vellios managed to turn his career around and earned a move to Nottingham Forest in 2016 for a fee in the region of €1m.
The forward is contracted to Nottingham Forest until 2020.
